There is nobody who has conquered every area of the entertainment world quite like Barbra Streisand has! The EGOT winner began her career as a nightclub singer before making her Broadway debut in 1962’s I Can Get It for You Wholesale. Since then, she has undergone an incredible transformation in Hollywood.

Barbra, born in 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, always dreamt of becoming an actress and was determined to make her dreams come true. Upon making her Broadway debut, the songstress fell in love with costar Elliott Gould. The former couple got married in 1963. They welcomed their first child together, son Jason Gould, in 1966.

Since then, Barbra has catapulted to fame and her transformation over the years is nothing less than amazing.

Barbra starred as Fanny in Funny Girl, marking one of her most memorable roles throughout her career.

In 2023, Barbra became the fourth recipient of the Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Woman of Leadership Award. She was recognized for her “advocacy of a variety of causes, including voting rights, climate change research and racial and gender equality,” according to The Washington Post.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award named after one of the iconic and pathbreaking Justices ever to serve on the Supreme Court,” Barbra wrote via X on February 22, 2023.
